Zavyi started with a simple frustration: too many dating apps are full of profiles that aren't real, and conversations that go nowhere. We built the app we wanted to use, one where every person is verified by another person.
Our mission
Somewhere along the way, dating apps became slot machines: endless swiping, bots, catfishing and a nagging sense that nobody on the other side was real. We think people deserve better than that.
So we did the unfashionable thing. We asked every member to verify their number, their ID, a liveness selfie and a short video call with a real verifier before they could be seen. It slows sign-up down a little. It also means everyone you meet on Zavyi is a real person who was willing to show up honestly.
We’re a small team based in Bengaluru, India, founded in 2026, building for people across India who want something that lasts.
